Romney is the Pro-Israel Candidate

Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney released a pro-Israel advertisement, which can be seen here ~ http://bit.ly/N2PnEP.

In an email entitled Israel, our ally sent out on Monday, the campaign wrote:

“It was a deeply moving experience to be in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, last week.

You can’t get much closer to the ideals and convictions of the United States than you do in Israel. We’re part of the great fellowship of democracies. We speak the same language of freedom and justice and believe in the right of every person to live in peace.

The story of how America — a nation still so new to the world by the standards of this ancient region — rose up to become the dear friend of the people of Israel is among the finest and most hopeful in our nation’s history. Israel and America are in many respects reflections of one another, and I am happy America has such a great friend and ally.”

Romney is the pro-Israel candidate; the electoral decision is clear. The Jewish nation – the lone stable, democratic state stationed in a geopolitical region plagued by turmoil and uncertainty – deserves the full support of our Republic.

Holocaust Survivor Irving Roth at MSU

February 17, 2012

EAST LANSING, MI – Not every day does a survivor of the world’s deadliest genocide appear on campus. Mr. Irving Roth, whom lived through the Holocaust after being transported to Auschwitz via crammed train, shared his remarkable story in front of a crowded lecture hall Wednesday evening.

Roth spoke of the dire need for the United States to maintain a close relationship with its Middle East ally. “One nation has stood with Israel since the beginning, and that is America,” proclaimed the eighty-two-year-old native of Czechoslovakia. For the sake of mankind, the history of the Holocaust must never be forgotten.

The event was hosted by newborn student organization MSU Christians United for Israel, otherwise known as CUFI, abides by the message described in Isaiah 62:1 – For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, til her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. Hillel and Campus Conservatives also co-sponsored the successful program. To learn more about CUFI at the national level, please visit www.CUFI.org and @CUFI on Twitter.

Following the main presentation there was a lively question-and-answer session. In fact, a Muslim-turned-Jewish man provided his unique perspective on the matter. Several queries were asked from the audience which consisted of students, professors, and members of the local community. Always willing to reply, Roth, in his very own way, connects with listeners like no one else can.

Our esteemed guest’s declaration that anti-Semitism has taken over the American classroom unfortunately holds weight. Radical groups like the Muslim Student Association and Students for Justice in Palestine seek to destroy U. S.-Israel ties through a concerted effort on the ground. In recent years, MSA and SJP chapters, especially at Columbia University and various California schools, sprouted and targeted status quo foreign affairs. Graduate-level students and trained professors, too, have successfully infiltrated our institutions of higher education. That is why, now more than ever, it is vital that we stand up for Israel and the Jewish people.
